Why do we do what we do?

When founder Steve McCleery started his real estate and land development career, he was accutely aware of the mantra: It's just business--nothing personal. That weighed on him. "How can anyone delineate, separate, and segment life? The true purpose and reason for life is always the same no matter where you are or what you're doing. Life and why we have it can't be segmented. It's always personal and much much more."
Steve set out to start a development company firmly driven by impact, not dollars. What does that mean? Well, for starters, McCleery Company won't say yes to working with just anyone simply because they approach him. Our desire is to work with people and companies that place integrity and impact as most important. Frequently Steve explains, "If we died tomorrow, getting paid for a development wouldn't matter. What would matter is how we were a steward of the opportunity given."
